Birds and Whales

July 29, 2017

This post will mostly pictures. Today we got off the ferry and land in Newfoumdland. We shortly found ourselves at the Cape St. Mary Bird Sanctuary where 10s of thousands of seabirds have their babies. Six humpback whales joinded us. They were swimming with 200 feet of shore. We were looking down on them as they ate.

We drove to another place called Witness Bay. We saw a quarter million nesting pairs of puffins along with thousands of other seabirds. We spent an hour sailing amongst more than a hundred Humpback whales. It was a lifetime experience.
