Pandas and Dumplings

March 14, 2014

The sun is shining and the weather is nice.

We have arrived Xian after another Chinese plane ride and two bus rides. I will keep it short and sweet since the obvious highlight was a trip to the Chongquin AKA Chungking Zoo. I want to get some pictures posted of the star attractions.

The connection is much better here but I only manage to upload one panda video. The one of scratching belly is better and will try it next. The video is obviously unedited but I can work on it later.

Tomorrow we go to the Terra Cotta Warriors

Survived a dinner with 18 different dumplings served in rapid fire order. Some shaped like ducks and chickens and pigs. I guess that was a cle as to the insides. Quite good at a restaurant actually popular with locals although we filled up most of one floor.

  1. I see Tai Chi is alive and well in Xian. Have you noticed whether or not the young also do traditional Tai Chi or is just the gray hairs? Looks like the panda boy needs some Benadryl.

  2. Can there be a more adorable creature on the planet than a panda? (Except Maclovio, of course.) So good to see the public Tai Chi. Looks like a lovely city.

  3. SAT. I AM A LITTLE LATE SEEING THIS. THE PANDAS ARE GREAT MATT AND LENDSAY ARE HERE. WE ARE GOING TO CELEBRATE HIS BIRTHDAY TONIGHT IN JAMESTOWN. HAVING A GREAT TIME.
